Chair of the FCB (Gary Jones) Update: June 2023

As Chair of the FCB (Federation of Certification Bodies) I am delighted to confirm that twenty of the UK’s national management system accredited certification bodies attended the June 2023 meeting.

The FCB aims to discuss matters of mutual interest and promote integrity and improvement in accredited management system certification.

Agenda items included:

Updates on UKAS CertCheck
UKAS agreement changes
Blended and remote auditing
Transition arrangements for ISO 22002-1
ISO/IEC 27001:2022 transitions
Technical committee updates
Scope extensions for the NHSS scheme
Recognition of UKAS accreditation in the EU

As always, UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) attended the FCB meeting to support the members with their pursuit to ongoing conformity and improvement of accredited management system certification.

We look forward to our face-to-face meeting scheduled on the 11^th October 2023.
