Chairing UKAS’ Management System Certification TAC

Having been appointed as Chair, I had the pleasure of leading UKAS’s recent Management System Certification Technical Advisory Committee (MSCTAC), held earlier this month. The committee’s core objective, attended and influenced by industry UK bodies, is to provide valuable feedback and information to UKAS about management system certification. 

The MSCTAC will be held twice a year so I am keen to receive technical questions about UKAS accredited management system certification to feed into this committee.

Topics covered included:

• Merger of the IAF and ILAC to become GLOBAC
• Digital transformation
• Upcoming revisions and amendments to standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
• New standards such as ISO 56001 for innovation
