I chaired my second UKAS Management System Certification Technical Advisory Committee (MSCTAC) earlier this month, which is attended by a range of industry stakeholders. The committee’s core objective, attended and influenced by UK industry bodies, is to provide valuable feedback and information to UKAS about management system certification.
The MSCTAC will be held twice a year so I am keen to receive technical questions about UKAS accredited management system certification to feed into this committee.
Topics covered during the meeting included:
- AI activities including a new TAC for AI
- Future of auditing
- ISO 27006 auditor qualifications
- Auditor witnessing structure
- Updates on revisions/amendments to ISO 9001 & 14001
- Transition deadline for ISO/IEC 27001:2022
- Accreditation update for BS 99001
