Many certification bodies in the UK and overseas are not UKAS accredited or accredited by any recognised government-appointed body.

Increasingly, buyers and procurement specialists are rejecting non-accredited certificates in the tenders and bids they receive.

A common reason mentioned for seeking a non-accredited certification is a cheaper price but our experience has shown that non-accredited certification can cost the same if not more than an accredited certification.
